2. About the app
Rectangle is a mobile game in which players find squares or rectangles formed by four tiles of the same color.
The app does not require an account, registration, name, phone number, or email address. The app does not operate its own user-account or application backend. The app does not request access to location, contacts, camera, microphone, or photo library data. The app does not include in-app purchases or subscription features.
3. Data stored locally
The app may store the following information locally on the device:
- game and display preferences;
- sound and music settings;
- whether the game help has been shown;
- review-prompt preferences.
This information is not sent to my own server. Local data can be removed by deleting the app or clearing its app data.
4. Sound credits
The sounds used in the app are from Pixabay, under the Pixabay Content License:
- Background music: Musical relaxing guitar loop v5
- Tap sound: Film special effects tap notification
- Transition sound: Film special effects transition base
- Error sound: Film special effects training program incorrect
5. Google AdMob advertising
The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve, measure, and protect advertising services, Google and its advertising partners may process technical information such as:
- IP address and approximate regional information;
- device and operating-system information;
- technical or advertising identifiers;
- ad impressions and ad interactions;
- app version and technical operating environment.
Whether personalized advertising is used depends on applicable consent and opt-out settings.

6. Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
The app uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage privacy choices related to advertising.
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, UMP may display the required privacy-consent messages. Users in applicable US states can manage available opt-out choices through the app’s privacy settings.
Privacy settings are available from Info / Privacy options in the app when UMP determines that a privacy-options entry point is required.
7. Firebase Crashlytics
The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to detect, investigate, and fix crashes and other technical problems.
Crashlytics may process, among other things:
- crash reports and stack traces;
- app version and package identifier;
- operating-system and device information;
- Crashlytics and Firebase installation identifiers;
- the time and technical context of a crash.
The app does not directly request a name, phone number, or email address.

Google, Firebase, and the other third-party service providers used by the app provide data protection that is the same as or equivalent to the protection described in this Privacy Policy, as applicable to their services.
8. IDFA and App Tracking Transparency
The app currently does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission and does not request access to Apple’s IDFA advertising identifier.
If this changes in the future, this Privacy Policy and the app-store privacy disclosures will be updated.
9. Data retention
Information stored locally by the app remains on the device until the user deletes it, removes the app, or clears the app’s data.
Google AdMob and Firebase Crashlytics process and retain information according to their own privacy, security, and retention policies. According to Firebase, Crashlytics retains certain crash and identifier data for 90 days.
10. Data security
Network communication uses secure protocols supported by the relevant services. The relevant data controllers apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data.
11. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal data concerning you, correction or deletion of data, restriction of processing, objection to processing, withdrawal of consent, and information about data processing.
Requests may be sent using the controller contact details listed above. Complaints may be submitted to the relevant data-protection authority in your country of residence or location.
12. Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy when introducing a new feature, SDK, or data-processing practice. The latest version will show a new “Last updated” date.
